Love the Moon

by lalajovanoski

Love the full moon
Laminating and penetrating
all whiteness.

You are dark
Ill; you crawl and appall
In desperation you call
to a vacant wall.

There is no armor to protect me
from your lingering shadow
It dwells within my mind
Dripping and dripping
Deeply chilled.

My how I've discovered thrill
Those thirsty taste buds
Under the dim moon fill.

Those faces that shove their way into being
Drag along all their caked dust
secreting itself into my veins
drying it up into a tart crust.

The moon sees all my disgust
Under the moon away I drift
Off into space hiding I must
Beneath the moon I sway and shift.

The dusty landscape grants my wish
Beneath the moon I sway and drift
Concluding into solitude;
At last
Lost forever to repass.
