This work has reached the exceptional level
we're one

by ArtGal

tell me
why I stumble on gravel
where is smooth stone
that I can skip upon
it's because
you're not holding my hand
you're my everything
the half of me
I gave to you

while autumn leaves
drift and cling
on hair and skin
then share a kiss
a laugh or two
under moonlight
while holding hands
I can't let go
fingers intertwine
we are one

at home
a warm brandy
the fireplace on
soft music
in the background
we dance
like our first date
until now
you're tired
let's sleep
hold me close
don't let me go

if you can't stay
I'll go with you
holding hands
as we ascend
as one
