Creative Whispers

When weary windows of my mind
Have nothing to express
I'm vanquished from the very world
That words so often blessed

Oh spirit of my cherished muse
I beg you and implore
Come to me and whisper deep
What I can not ignore

Create the magic you possess
And let the sweet threads flow
Upon a page that's bare and white
And needs a bit of glow

Please tickle me with lovely thoughts
The kind one can't compare
To anything one's ever known
And then of course, add flair

I can not feel, I can not see
Without you by my side
A poet is, what I am not
Without my cherished guide

Recognized

Every poet knows there are times when the creative well runs dry. Without the flow of words or a whisper of inspiration we sit in front of blank pages. There is nothing worse than finding oneself in an empty void. THIS is my thought on that. I would like to Thank Poetic Visionary for inspiring me with her new poem, "Inspire Me" which led me to the writing of this poem. I would also like to Thank Donkeyoatey for stating my poems inspired him to create the artwork you see. I consider both of these artists (one from FS, the other from FAR) as wonderful friends that I'm blessed beyond words to know.

Just missed out on the, "Your Work Made Me Contest. This would have been an entry there, but the weary windows of my mind were blank at the time of the contest! LOL I dedicate this poem to Poetic Visionary and Donkeyoatey!
