Coffee Pot on the Brink

In the morning before I think
The coffee pot goes on the brink Suddenly I pause and panic Without hesitation I am manic A cup of coffee starts my day No one understands it's just my way It gets me thinking and on track When there's no coffee I'm a whack I am getting good at fixing the pot Even though the coffee is not hot A creative solution comes to mind Put the cup in the microwave save time Once I have my coffee I am ready to go Creative and bright with a brilliant glow Having an extra pot would create less stress Yet for now I am happy just fixing this mess |
