Piles of poop left behind in the park abound
Despite big signs to scoop your pooch's poop piles

Playing little children can step in the mound
Stinking up their shoes, spoiling their day playing

Do I clean up my Fido's job from the ground?
Yes! But not your Rover's, too. That's yours to do!

Plastic bags are great for this chore, I have found
You can brown bag it if you don't have plastic

It seems for some reason people want the hound
But not the commitment of caring for it

Pet parents skulk away when no one's around
Sneaking out of picking up after their pet

Stop and think if you agree my rant is sound
If you're guilty of leaving poop unscooped--stop!

My dogs and I love a walk in the park. It gives them a change of scene and what dog doesn't like to stop and smell the poops. BUT--it's irresponsible not to clean up after your dog and it can be expensive if you're ticketed.
All lines have 11 syllables.
