Professional Bull Riders

A chapter in the book Favorite's

PBR

by country ranch writer

Background
My grandpa says that becoming a World Champion Bull Rider, just does not happen overnight. He says a lot goes into this. They must work and keep in shape and train so it is an everyday work thing.
With so much going on in the rodeo these days, there are so many things you have to watch out for. One is your health, yes, they have some health insurance but it can be used up when one is seriously injured and laid up for a long, long time.
If you stay home you are not making money and with no money coming in it can be a real hardship on everyone concerned.

Rodeos are not just for the sport it is about the people in the community a place to bring all walks of life together. Rich or poor it don't matter who you are. You will fall in love with the sport.
Let me see if I can remember what my grandpa told me about bull riding. It came to pass two ranchers had a competition to see who was the best of the best. They did it all, roping, bare back, steer wrestling, tie down. Barrels, and last was rodeo. Gradually it became the P.B.R. when 25 cowboys put up $1,000 each to start the standalone rodeo.

My grandpa said, these are the best bull riders in the world. They come from all over the world to compete. Everyone wants to know what makes a bull rider tick.
It is like writing a book on who is who. What's happening next in the rodeo? In the P.B.R. there is always something going on. You do not need to know anything about the rodeo in order to come see it. So you ask what is Rodeo about? Let's just say, it will be a very good experience for the whole family. I guarantee you will say, it is an enlightening experience to say the least.

Recognized

I have tried to stay true to my upbringing and old rodeo days of being there. My grandpa was the man with all the knowledge and taught me everything I know. He did keep me from riding the bulls though. He said, that was not a girls thing to do. Back in his day it wasn't lady like.
