An opportunity to view beauty
The Battered old Bench
by justchillin
The battered old bench, is beckoning to me somehow knowing, that tiredness is taking its toll I sit silently, in awe of this perfect place Truly an artistic vision The grass, so green, glistening from a sudden shower and now the soothing sun, encourages gentle growth A red rhodedendron sways lazily, losing its petals whilst a cherry coloured camelia still stands proudly even though most of its fine flowers have fallen Trees and shrubs blend bountifully together in shades of green, grey, and gold Bees are buzzing happily, as pollen is their prize while passing by on their journey A robin lands, just a foot from me displaying a rich, ruby red breast It turns towards me, head held on one side showing me it shares my sentiments Such breath taking beauty, fills me with joy and a warm tingling from top to toe A big black cloud bursts, and rain falls stopping the silence A few moments of magic, free for all to see |
