A Knight breaks his promise to the Goddess.
Melusina - Goddess of the Waters
by Aussie
Virgin Knight by the River Stowe
Sees a stirring of waters deep Bubbling and creaming; movement below In pale moonlight, fish do leap Melusina female form - ghostly glow Goddess of the waters rises from her keep Her beauty beguiles him - rising slow Virgin Knight - in love does leap She takes his hand, caresses his face Her beauty has won his heart He watches her elegant grace Drunk with delight - never to part Melusina and Virgin Knight He breaks his promise not to look Her bathing naked gives delight Virgin Knight drowned in bubbling brook |

Melusina Goddess of the waters can be found wherever water runs - from fountain to stream she remains supreme. She walked as a human companion for the Knight on the promise that he would let her bathe alone - never to gaze upon her. She dragged him under and his blood turned to water.
