Super Storm Sandy
by Aussie
Satellite watched her swirl
Sandy lifted her skirts Danced with delight Tonight, would be her night Be afraid, New York, be afraid Sandy beckoned; rise seas, rise! Poseidon rang his bell Raised his Trident from hell How small you are New York How tiny in the face of terror Never before - such wrath Think you know it all? Man cannot make the weather slave Change it's face or gain control His attempts to rule have failed Only God can change it's face. The rich and the poor have suffered Homes smashed to toothpicks Washed away in the blink of an eye Forceful Sandy danced her way. Don't forget the animals either Remember the horror to follow Man is wailing now, so insignificant In the hand of God. My heart goes out to you Across the seas so far You will rebuild your homes Find your strength again. Sandy is a warning, just think The hand of God sometimes gentle Can wreak havoc on the weak He is the Alpha and Omega. At His name all will bow Time is coming when all men Will suffer - good or bad Hang on to your faith. For faith is all you have Build your treasures in heaven Where moth and rust does not corrupt Be simple, kind and understanding. For the darkness will be light Sandy is a warning - more will follow Watch and pray as Jesus said You know not when the Son of Man comes. |

Dreadful storm Sandy - we watch America and the devastation; we pray for all those that have lost loved ones, homes, animals. We thank God for the small miracles amongst the loss. We all need to acknowledge that God controls the Universe, we are but grains of sand on His beach of life. Free style verse.
