just an unmetered poem
Waltzing Through The Moonlight
by Jim Lorson Sr
Here we are under a star studded night waltzing through the moonlight. The crickets and bullfrogs in perfect musical harmony and the fireflies create a sight for all to see. We see the trees swaying in the gentle breeze and we hear applause coming from their leaves. We notice that other creatures are watching us and how they clap and cheer in making a fuss. We are reveling with our time in the spotlight which raises our spirits to an even greater height. We twirl and dance our night away and before long the sun will rise for a new day. The feel of her body causes my heart to race. I know holding her puts me in another place. I crave everything about her so very much especially her tender and sensual touch. Sadly, before long, this, my dream will be gone as it will be time for a new day to dawn. Throughout this new day I will yearn to hold her and I will revel once again in this dream for sure. My world becomes perfect once more after the sun sets and my reoccurring dream is as good as it gets. |

This is composed without regards to meter. something that I do not care for. Poetry should come the poets heart and not from a metering chart. This is what makes the 'Blues' so great, straight from the heart. This does have an intentional rhyme scheme of 'aabb'.
