a thousand years

a vampire

shun those of
my kind
who kill
wantonly

hunter
for food
not sport

only to satisfy
my hunger

using the
dark
of night

search
the bowels
and underbelly
of the

move through
homeless
camps

to feed
on the
less conspicuous
less troublesome

being
what I am
is my
bane
