Senryu Poetry writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt Write a senryu. Unrhymed Japanese verse of 5/7/5 syllables. Using human emotion. In the words of Bruce Ross, in "How to Haiku," a senryu is "similar in form to haiku but deals exclusively with human nature and most often is expressed as a joke." In other words, the senryu usually has a little bit of a twist in the last line. |
