The tie
Love's Scent
by Catherin Elizabet Belle
Pleasantly hypnotic fragrance vanilla,
Sea breezes from the bay lift her mantilla; Ever present the faint scent of vanilla, She sits smiling behind the lace mantilla; Strains of music warm her heart with vanilla, A small tapping toe sways the lace mantilla; A single candle scents the air vanilla, The lad in church who pulled her small mantilla; She laced his steaming coffee with vanilla, On bowed head he gently placed her mantilla; As fragrant candles spew incense vanilla, Still gracing her face the black lace mantilla; Their pyre's ashes whisper the scent vanilla, Flames melting the delicate lace mantilla; Silenced the hypnotic fragrance vanilla. |
