The Pink Mitten

by Realist101

The snow sparkles in the sun almost blinding me. I drive south on I-65, regretting not grabbing my shades.

The voices on my truck's radio tell me temperatures have fallen to ten degrees and that there are wind advisories, and ice spots too.

Shivering even in my heated truck, I drive on. There is work to be done.

The high-way is lonely today; with the schools closed and power out, few have ventured onto the roads today. Some are regretting it.

I near the spot where I was instructed to go. There! A pink mitten on an antenna, just visible above the drift. More snow falls. I hope I made it in time.

Unresolved resolution. The tow truck got there, but did he make it on time? I leave that up to you. Thank you for reading and to Photobucket.com
