Capacity to Love

by closetpoetjester

Capacity to Love

Through parenthood my heart has truly found
Capacity of overwhelming love
These tiny miracles to which I'm bound
Delivered from the trusted hand above

They know not of the constant sacrifice
And too shall never need be made aware
Of circumstances as I rolled the dice
My dramas, anguish, doubt and deep despair

With everlasting smiles they melt my heart
But loving them is easy every day
The feelings deep within I must impart
My care and love for them shall never stray

I'm just so happy most days I could burst
And seem to love them more when days are worst

Yes this is my little pigeon pair! The girl is in the
red. At times she looks quite boy like especially in red or green so just had to clarify she is definitely a she ... and a diva at that! LOL

Life with kids is not perfect but most days its pretty darn good.

A constant learning and very humbling experience.

This is a Sonnnet style poem consisting of 14 lines written in iambic pentameter DaDUM DaDUM DaDUM DaDUM DaDUM

Made up of 3 Quatrains and 1 Couplet and rhyme scheme is;
abab cdcd efef gg
