A tree

by wierdgrace

Background
ducilla, thank you so much for your picture
The tall pine tree points to the sky
Its branches landing platforms for birds who pass by
The towering giants collect a due
From our feathered friends as they pass through

A droplet here a droplet there
That tumbles down through the spike like hair
To the soil below, that feeds the roots
More trees grow starting as green shoots

Sounds real good in a scientific way
Trees provide nests for birds that will stay
Nests in the hair? Little dogs beneath me?
If there's reincarnation, I don't want to be a tree
