The sea changes after dark.
The Spirit of the Night Sea.

As the shimmering sun surrenders
to the enchantment of the night, the skies' crimson colours end their mystical fight. The golden strands of sunlight, once glistening on the sea, change into haunting shadows, dancing endlessly. Echoes from howling winds stretch far beyond the sea, whilst voices murmuring in the waves, set the spirit of the night sea free. Sudden cries from seabirds pierce the crisp night air, and ragged rocks on which waves plunge, stand looming with a silent stare. Like angry spirits of the sea, waves rage towards the shore, plunge and crash upon the beach, while birds sweep and soar. Throughout the night the sea spirit lives, alive and full of zest, before the beckoning sun sheds light, and the spirit comes to rest. |

Australian English and grammar: I love the sea, I think we all do, by day it is beautiful in all its moods, by night it holds spirits and we are afraid of what is below the depths of the mighty ocean. The sea is the most powerful natural force on earth, we need to respect it.
