America the Lost

Our once great nation
Envied by most of the world
Where did we go wrong?

Not the grand country
That I remember from youth
My America

Hear, see, speak no ill
For fear of government ire
Citizens rights gone

Sad state of affairs
Rest in peace as we mourn thee
Lost America
