Just another view on life.

A chapter in the book The Flower You Once Held

by Laidy

Playing the 'game' we call life,
I have to stay within the lines,
following the rules,
to keep me sane and blind.

The earth spins on its' core
and I've come to learn to listen
to the fascination
of the breaths we take

Grieving for the life I may lose,
but isn't tomorrow new?
Creations come when least expected,
and when don't we expect it?

Rolling hills of laughter creep
around the halls
inside of my head.
Happiness seems too funny
to become accomplished.
What life is this?

There is no passion,
without the lust and love I hold
for you,
like that of a trick
or treater bagging candy;

God gave life,
when we are angered
we take it...
For life is the most precious
gift of all.

And my readers...
what are you anticipating now?
Another stanza?
Another verse?
Maybe some rhymes?, this is just my
look into life...

"Song of Myself"
excerpt from the poem by Walt Whitman
I celebrate myself, and sing myself,
And what I assume you shall assume,
For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you.
I loaf and invite my soul,
I lean and loaf at my ease observing a spear of summer grass.
