Four short years....

Michael

by Begin Again

If I never see you again,
I will be thankful for the four years
that you were mine to love and hold.

If I never see you again,
I will remember the tiny little marigold
you brought to me on Mother's Day.

If I never see you again,
I will remember your infectious laugh
and how you willingly danced in your sister's tutu.

If I never see you again,
I will remember a little boy who poured cheerios
down the stairs just to see them fall.

If I never see you again,
I will close my eyes and remember that
sparkling smile you shared with everyone.

If I never see you again,
I will remember how you tried to buy
an ice cream bar and charge it to your dad.

If I never see you again,
I will remember every moment that we shared,
because they are engraved upon my mind.

If I never see you again,
I will remember how you crawled into my bed
every night and how I couldn't make you leave.

If I never see you again,
my heart will carry your love forever and ever.

If I never see you again,
I will cry every night because
I miss you more than life itself.
