A chapter in the book The Flower You Once Held

Only Mortal

by Laidy

I am haunted even as I sleep
for a human has hurt me
and through pictures and frames I creep.
Insomnia keeping me up from dusk till dawn;
wanting peace for myself
my feelings deep throat,
they gag me and I spit as my reflexes are gone.
I dream and conjure,
releasing my spirit into the air.
All that is suddenly felt
is my anger bare.
It's my anger that haunts me,
that has me so hurt,
for that guy that calls himself to be human,
the bridge was built.
But years later,
now it's still burnt.
Control to my body and my mind
for his contract was wrote,
and it was his soul to the Devil
they were confined.
My anger, as it acts as a portal
has me haunted
God, forgive me...
I am only mortal!
