uses a storm at sea as a metraphor for life
The Eternal Battle
by dragonpoet
Life floats by with the ease
Of a sailboat in a spring breeze Out on a peaceful azure lake Until the weather has a sudden break And hurricane winds of change Bring tidal waves that rearrange The pieces. So, life shatters The mast splinters and scatters Wishing the storm had a lower cost Hoping sometime you will be tossed A preserver on a coil of rope Providing you with the hope That the rudder will start to steer Towards peace and away from fear That again there will be a strong mast And ripped sails will be in the past dragonpoet |
