Quatrains using flower names
Flowery Lullaby
by adewpearl
Sweet baby blue eyes, don't you cry, summer showers will soon pass by. Blue clouds of rain will disappear, peaches and dreams are drawing near. Grandma's bonnet is put away, for night has come to end day's play. The firmament will fill with stars, and peaceful sleep will soon be ours. Peppermint sticks and jelly beans will please you in your sweetest dreams. Midnight candy beyond compare will chase away all thoughts of care. Pinwheels of pink will spin all night, so close those eyes, no need for fright. Make calm your baby's breath, don't sigh, as mama sings her lullaby. |
