One Word Jealousy
War Took Him
by Teri7
She had the lights turned down very low Romantic and soft music on the radio Thoughts of jealousy and love in her brain As she listened to the slow falling rain Missing the loving and soft touch of his hand Knowing inside it was not at a woman's demand Her jealousy raged at a war that took him away He had given her his love forever and a day Always thinking of their love at first sight Knowing deep in her heart that it would be alright Awaiting the day when their lips finally would meet But to her surprise only darkness they would greet Jealousy had never been her game to play She had hopes of being his wife one day She would write him and put perfume on each letter Until the final letter she received finally had her In a mess of tears she knelt down to pray Asking God to help her understand why he didn't stay From that day on she never wanted love Except for the love from God up above Written by: Teresa A. This is what came to me as I wrote this poem. The war is something that can cause many heartaches and pain, as this one did for me. No punctuation at all. God bless all that read and review this.
