Reflections in Water
Water Colors
by Helvi2
A potpourii of mixed rhyme with little punctuation... Go with the flow meter... what felt right to me
In delicate surrender they succumb to water's edge And delicately affirm the frame with their vivacious pledge The radiant perceptions of what clearly isn't there Will somehow reinvent itself in captivating flare Upon the placid waters of a lake that is serene The artistry of nature is revealed in stunning scenes The colorful infusions there entice the lines of sight As gorgeous acquiescent flows reveal a liquid light Embellished by alluring shades that come from sky or shore One's awestruck by the wonder of the beautiful decor Floriferous, Autumnal E. or from the Heavens sent What it portrays in its display is always an event As reflections of true beauty come back to us once more We're beguiled by transformations we find hard to just ignore Undeniably inviting are the gems of potpourri That bloom beside the water's edge intriguing you and me The prisms of a rainbow can't escape this magic site Nor the soft reflective moonbeams or the grace of stars at night On this mirror of blue-silver you'll find breathtaking views Where pretty water colors splash in photogenic hues Resplendent rosy sunsets that are picturesque and pure Unveil upon the looking glass intensely or demure As each exquisite image finds a place where it can rest Extraordinary encores of their grandeur leave us blest As mighty storm clouds march right in and change our joy to woes Fierce lightening bolts before the rain will strike a fearsome pose Then lost within the ripples of the ruffled air that blows, Are the beautiful reflections only stillness can bestow |

Hi, I've been gone for a while due to my anxiety and depression. Sometimes it is impossible to write because the feelings you have are overwhelming. I hope you enjoy my attempt to create something special that hopefully will brighten your day. This idea came to me while I was lookinfg at some photos. I seperated the word watercolors into two words because I wanted to represent the colors on the water. I thought this explanation would help you undestand why I did it this way.
