Who is Answering My Inquiries?

Questioned and Answered

by Tom Horonzy

Has every life a purpose
If given a chance, it has
Am I predisposed to be alone
You have a will of your own

And what if I choose to wed
That would make for a warmer bed
But isn't that dependent on whom I marry
You have a will of your own

What of life after death
It could be great or less than good
Do I leave it up to chance
You have a will of your own.

How do I know what's right or wrong
Walk from the night and towards the dawn
And if successful, what shall I get
You'll hear my voice say Enter In.

Whodunit contest entry

A mystery solved? Perhaps.
I read a piece by Christina Rossseti titled Uphill.
A Conversation poem written allegorically, where the first and third lines are questioned by a first character and the 2nd and 4th lines are given by another.
She used no punctuation throughout, so I aped her style, whether adeptly, perhaps not.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
