A Piaku Poem

Do Over

by JLR

Two ears have
I
to hear your voice.

One
heart that is pounding.
In unison with your sweet lament.

Two eyes
I have that captures the
Deep love, you give back.

If only
I was a young man,
Once again, I would marry thee.

To walk again on a long journey.
Carve our names on yonder oak.
Help you over all of life's trials.
