Jail is a terrible place to go!!!!!

Heck no! I don't wanna go!

by Blue Hendrix

As far as I can see

Jail is not a place for me.

I must have a comfy bed,

Not a hard cot with no pillow for my head.

I had to experience and find out

by learning the hard way what jail life is about.

Food not fit for a dog to eat,

Orange shower shoes upon my feet

For toilet paper you must beg and plead.

just 2 books for 27 people to read.

Trading ramen to get cards for the phone.

So many people yet feeling so alone.

Eating breakfast at 4 am in the morning,

just to be awake for a day so boring.

Waiting in line for this and for that.

All that starchy food will surely make you fat.

Criminals learning new tricks for their trade.

Conspiring and plotting new plans being made.

Hearing everyone's claims of innocence,

but I really was innocent in my defense.

Told when to rise, when to go to bed.

Told when to shower, and when to take meds.

Treated like animals in a big stinky cage.

Any of these things would put you into a rage.

But the decision to choose wrong or right was mine,

And that's the moral of this rhyme.

I am the one that chose to do wrong when that time came.

So there is no one but myself to blame.
