Their story

Chimpanzee

by Cecilia A Heiskary

Chimpanzees are one of the great apes
They have to plan their escape
Chimps are on the endangered list
Why can't we let them coexist?

They live in Africa in treetops
They don't mess with farmers crops
Poachers hunt them for their meat
People need to find something else to eat

Adult populations have continually declined
Why are humans acting so blind?
Leave the babies alone, they're not pets
Lets be vocal about all the threats

We need to be aware of their fate
Let's help them repopulate before it's too late
