a 75-word story
Stroke
by Bill Schott
At four a.m on April 30th, I had a problem. My wife called our son to come and help me. He drove to us, saw me, then immediately called for an ambulance.
The ride to the hospital took twenty minutes. It was decided when I got there that I would require a mechanical thrombectomy for Ischemic stroke, but that required a trip to another hospital.
I had a blood clot removed from my brain.
