My numb skull can not think at all

I don't know how to write

It seems that when my dumb bell rang

It blew my upstairs light

The files I had with all my thoughts

Decided to skiddoo
My wordsmith simply flew the coop

So what am I to do?

My muse was once a chatterbox

But now it will not speak

No matter how I prod the thing

I'm left without a squeak

My skull is just a vacant lot

With nothing there to prime

Not even just a little thought

That might give me a rhyme

Within an echo chamber that

Reverberates no more

There's nothing to bounce off my head

No way that I can score!

I'm drowning in an empty sea

Without a bit of hope

My noggin's lost in salty brine

Without a realm to scope
