A flower's dilemma with Daylight Saving Time

The Spin of Spring

by Helvi2

When Daylight Saving comes around
My head begins to spin
I haven't got a clue on earth
What time zone I am in?

The warming earth says I should sprout
Become a lovely flower
But timings got me so confused
Just by that single hour

My color queue went out the door
My petal count went too
What should I do to re-create
I haven't got a clue?

What happens if, what I once was
Becomes a strange display
A blueprint of what I once was
That's clearly gone astray

When everything goes into flux
Who knows just what you'll see
The change of just an hours time
Might twirl a spin on thee

The tick tock of more sunlight time
Disturbs the clock within
And footsteps struggle on a course
Of where they once had been

This image was inspired by MKFlood's Funny Flowers, an artist on FAR I've always loved the humor Mark creates when he does his comical characters. When I found a photograph I took of Gerbera blooms with two flowers that had top-notches growing out of the center, straight up, I thought I'd post it just as it was. ...( Gerberas have a knack of doing 2 strange things ... 1) Trying to create a twin from the same flower head ... 2) growing petals straight up from the center of the flower)....After I did my usual post work on it, the thought of turning it into a Funny Flower crossed my mind. I couldn't get Mark's Funny Flowers out of my head! LOL The image also inspired this poem. I so hope you enjoy what you see and read! Thank you so much for stopping by!
