Eleven miles from Pittsburgh, there's a village very small
Where Laurie lives, and so much of her life she would recall
She has three children, two step-kids, and also eight grandkids
She loves them all so very much, there's nothing she forbids
Her pitbull, T y r i o n, who she adopted was abused
He was bait in a fighting ring, she was mad and confused
His scars were so detectable, why so many would laugh
She wrote two children's books on feelings done in his behalf
One book, "Tyrion's Town," and the other "Tyrian's Tale"
Just google him and you’ll see pictures that make him look frail
And Tyrion has raised money, at least a hundred grand
Donations for the shelter from all those who understand
"Laurie, the Liver Lady'' what they call her 'round the town
A pocket full of liver, there are no dogs with a frown
She wrote a cozy mystery, "Planted on Perry Street"
She's writing the sequel, but for this one I'll be discreet
Tyrion's gone for two years, memories carry her on
And all the books she's written, you will find at Amazon
So, she retired and she's been at FanStory five years now
She copies/edits magazines, so Laurie, take a bow
She read 26 books, all in a row, and at one time
Don't worry what others may think; OCD's not a crime : )
And Laurie loves her trivia, she goes and has her fun
Just like she is with us, in town, she's friends with everyone
I'm sure your kids and grandkids made your wishes all come true
But we would like to still wish a, "Happy Birthday to you!"
