Our Last Night Together

On this past crispy Halloween, Stephen and I spent our last night together. I thought of the years that we had an intimate relationship.Our relationship was both friendly and erotic. Our bodies were close and warm. I can still feel him spiritually with me, both in my apartment and at our day program. I cooked him an Italian dish that night in my apartment, and breakfast the following morning. He passed into the next life on the last day of 2024. I'm glad I got to visit him in the hospital in the last months of his life, and was able to give him Holy Communion twelve days before he died. I felt that I had sent him on his way to a good encounter with the Lord.
