Peek into the Sky

Peek into the sky, at night, look for truth we need

Pull the covers tight, escape into a dream

Behind the lids our eyes can rest, our mind with flourished thoughts

We feel the truth that lives within, shut out what day hath wrought

As the voices all at once had clouded up our day

In this peaceful dreamy state, we hear what good ones say

In our soul if that exists, or is just mind’s eye

The universe will speak, from the dark night sky

This voice, it never speaks of hate, nor love in that context

Just a reassuring breath, as one day becomes the next

Wash away the cluttered noise, replace it with a calm

A refuge from a darkened spot into the promised dawn

It smooths out the torment of a stormy sea

Puts us in a better place, lets us all believe
