Hot diggity dog, I’m just a green frog.
I search for a princess, just find a dog.
I can’t be a prince unless I can kiss
the lips of the royal beautiful Miss.
My girl, Marie Frog, is boring and loud.
She’s like the hard rain inside a dark cloud.
I’ll close both my eyes and wish on a toad.
Emotions I leave along the main road.
—————
The toad is not grateful sounding real rude,
suggesting that I should bring him some food.
Marie likes to climb the windows outside,
I’m so embarrassed, I wish I had died.
I’m breathless, I see the princess once more.
I get so excited, scared to the core.
No toad will suffice nor even a frog.
I stammer my tongue and look through the fog.
—————————
It’s just that my soul will weep its way out.
My mind has to stop a very loud shout.
Her carriage approaches, stops at the fair.
I jump very high and fly through the air.
She screams as I plant a kiss on her lips.
I notice the shape of sexy firm hips.
She now is a frog and croaks very loud.
I’m still a green frog, she makes me so proud.
——————————
She tells me about her wishes and stuff.
Her fam’ly had told her life would be rough.
A great revolution stole all their land.
The only land left is covered with sand.
Delighted that she is also a frog,
she’s found a real prince on top of this log.
A lovely romance is bound to occur.
It seems that her wish is starting to stir.
—————————————
She thinks I’m so cute and looks at my tongue.
I’ll catch all those flies for feeding our young.
We didn’t get married, frogs don’t do that.
We never have fights, not even a spat.
I wonder if she had wanted to stay,
if she would be human still to this day.
Would I have become a frog or a man?
A prince either way, a very good plan.
——————————
Our first set of tadpoles clings to the log,
and I am so happy that she is my frog.
