Detective Brady solves the Kirby case

The Kirby Case - Part 8

by Pamusart

It’s all but three who pick the man

whose cheek was sliced by one girl’s hand.

They search his place, find trophies there

and also Chen’s size ten so rare.

——————————

They lock him up and run the tests,

and later, Mike can fin’ly rest.

There was some matching D.N.A.

He’ll make a statement soon today.

—————————

He’ll praise his teams for their success.

He’ll say that they’re the very best.

They all attend the fourth girl’s wake.

They do it for the fam’ly’s sake.

——————————

They did the same for all the rest

to give them all their very best.

The killer fought with ev’ry ounce,

but was convicted on all counts.

——————————

He had achieved some sort of fame.

His sentences were all the same.

It’s life for each, the jury said,

It’s still amazing he’s not dead.

——————————

A lynch mob once had tried to kill,

but they did not possess the skill.

The townsfolk wished they would succeed.

There was such hatred for his deeds.

——————————-

Police detained the people there

although they didn’t really care.

Their charges all were wiped away

because emotions swelled that day.

——————————

The mob was formed because of fear.

They felt the choice was very clear.

Their daughters he had raped and killed.

Their vengeance though would not be filled.
