A sweet friendship of a little girl and a polar bear.

Best Friends

Libby had a polar bear,

with brown-tinted whitish hair.

Alaska was his native home.

They lived inside her igloo dome.

They met each other out one day,

when little Libby was at play.

He ran around so happily,

became best friends so instantly.

No other polar bears in sight,

she brought him home with her that night.

Sleeping through a little storm,

cuddle time to keep them warm.

Over time, he grew real tall,

still the friendliest of them all.

He cheered her on, her biggest fan.

His voice would echo through the span.

Knowing this would attract more bears,

Libby performed a few more dares.

Her best friend’s family now returned,

one desire she’d always yearned.

Starting a family of his own,

now a polar bear full grown.
