Activity in my garden

My Garden

by Cecilia A Heiskary

In my garden so quaint
My flowers come awake
Aiming faces without complaint
Sucking up sun for growing's sake

Bluebonnets twist in the wind
Azaleas bend like a dancer
Marigolds shiver and grin
Daisies popping up for an enhancer

Honeybees are singing their song
Ladybugs hugging the flowers
Butterflies have come along
Twirling in the garden for hours

Insects are active for awhile
The rain rushes in
Chasing bugs away in style
Watering flowers for the win

Peace has settled over the garden
Plants growing at their own pace
The sun returns after the pardon
Basking the flowers in their place

The Bluebonnet is the Texas state flower. It grows along the highways, yards, and garden.
It is protected and the state workers can't cut it until it goes to seed. It is a purplish blue color and is very pretty.

Hope you enjoy my glimpse into spring and summer
