I've spent these lives looking and trying to find

someone to connect with this soul and this mind.

Someone that could make this empty heart sing.

While I searched for you, you looked for me.

When I looked into your eyes, I knew it would be,

that you were at the other end of my heart's red string.

Somewhere I had forgetten just how it feels

to wonder in sorrow of how it appeals

to hold in the heart such a beautiful and magical thing.

We kiss all the places that others had stole

and fill the empty places deep in our soul,

while holding the other end of our heart's red string.

I can't waste another life without you.

Your soul is the one that I somehow knew.

I'm familiar with your heart and the love that you bring.

We're grounded in the skies and amongst the stars.

Not a love has been more powerful than ours.

It is you that I found at the other end of my heart's red string.

Your kisses flash a remembering

giving some purpose to this meandering.

Our hearts have wings to soar above the wondering.

Did all of this stumbling along my way

somehow lead me back to you one day?

To the other end of my heart's red string?

From this day and on,

from every dusk to every dawn,

this promise sits deeper than any ring.

From the beginning of all time,

and beyond the end of every rhyme,

we are bound by our heart's red string.
