A better way to live with grief.

My Silly Commandments

by Libby Keers

The author has placed a warning on this post for language.

Thou shalt befriend grief

not forget all their belief.

Thou shalt not take death too personally

Its intentions are not of a thief!

Thou shalt live for the dead,

not because they are gone

perhaps because they are ahead.

Thou shalt feel all they can,

instead of screaming as you ran.

Thou shalt not worry and ache..

rather manifest what you want to take!

“Thou shall not sin”

fuck.

Thou shalt attend goodwill bin!

perhaps find a shirt with a funky fish fin :)

Rhyming Poetry Contest contest entry

I wrote this on a more accepting day while grieving my bestfriend. Every time I see a sunflower, it reminds me of her. I know she’s waiting for me somewhere.
