The Rose I Planted With You
by papa55mike
It's been a year of heartache since I planted this red rose with my wife. The plant and I have endured many changes. It was touch and go for a while. The rose got a fungus while I dealt with cancer. We both survived, but not without a little cutting away.
I see you in every fragrant bloom that resonates with your beauty throughout every petal. The velvet touch reminds me of your sweet lips, while your stalk is as sturdy as a tree. The roots have absorbed from your ashes the beauty and love you willingly gave to all.

That Magnolia tree had many beautiful blooms this season.
