Exhausted, the gears and cogs slow my reasoning

Eyelashes of lead, draw me down to the depths.

I'm suddenly weightless, floating away...

An unexpected freefall

I jolt awake, heart pounding

Vibrations, a 2005 Honda Civic bass speaker resonates in my chest,

Every beat of my heart sends a wave through my body.

Completely befuddled, what was I doing?

A heavenly smell awakens the senses,

The engine of my cognitive function has been jump started.

Rising from my desk, I stagger to the coffee maker.
