I had just sat down at my desk with my coffee cup in hand. I watched in utter horror as Brilliant Idea escaped, taking Perfect Rhyme and Meter with her. Metaphor and Alliteration followed close behind. They scurried across my blank page without a backward glance, vanishing without a trace.
