#27 - NaProWriMo 2024 - Getting up the nerve...
A chapter in the book Love is in the Air
A Timid Love Affair
by Ginda Simpson
His lips were sealed, but not his heart
He just did not know where to start
So timid was he, words locked away
He simply did not know what to say
His longing grew, till he thought he'd burst
Why can't I get up the nerve, he cursed
With pen on paper, he drew a rose
Set down in ink the most lovely prose
sealed it with a kiss and a prayer
then slid it under her door with care
When she read his words, she thought she'd die
she'd tell him so, if she weren't so shy.
