Faith Flash

We are not alone. There are millions and millions of universes, and their inhabitants are unimaginable. Forever Man has contemplated the nature of The Creator, and described different beings, all in the image of Man. Greece and Rome, pagans, Aztecs, India with Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists, and the religions of the past several millennia- Christianity and Islam.

I was brought up a Protestant Christian, and learned that God was the Creator, and his son Jesus the Saviour of Man. I learned to pray, read the holy scriptures and share in church services with other Christians. Now my understanding of God the Creator is so much bigger that the Christian God, so much bigger than the Catholic God, so much bigger that Allah.

It is because there is mankind on this planet that so many different images of God exist. No doubt the inhabitants of the other millions of habitable planets thoughout those millions of universes, have sought to explain the Creation with their own versions of God the Creator.

I am in awe of the enormity of Creation and believe the Creator has planted living organisms. I do not know why or how, and I do not pray or attend church and take part in rituals, although I do love a lot of the wonderful Christian music.

God the Creator exists, and Man exists because of him. I have Faith in the reality of this universe he has created. Though I do not see him as ‘he’, he is so much bigger than that. Man’s knowledge of our own existence and the world we live in continues to grow and perhaps one day we will find the correct word for ‘him’.

I bow in ignorance: I personally know only a tiny wee fraction of our reality and our God.
