Worn Out!

What is going on here?
My desk is quite a mess
My spinning head is whirling round
I feel I’m in distress…

A major deadline’s coming up
It’s just two days anon
And I’m in charge of making sure
The Boss gets off and gone

The phones are ringing off the hook
The copier is broke
A hundred e-mails just came through
Is this some kind of joke?

I don’t have time to fix a thing
Or barely scratch my name
To stacks of forms I need to sign
It’s driving me insane!

The weather out is freezing cold
The forecast calls for snow
The vehicle my boss must use
Is not just gas-and-go

And I’m in charge of making sure
He’s off in timely run
And it won’t matter how achieved
I just must get it done

An urgent meeting just got called
The Big Man Boss is stressed
I’m checking off his “to do” list
To see each line’s addressed

Check - the goods have all been packed
The bags secured with string
Check – they’re loaded up and twice
I’ve counted everything

I’ve typed up his agenda
And have listed orderly
The time he’s due at every stop
And place that he must be

Now (Finally) he's out the door
It’s been a trying task
And now that I’ve accomplished that
I’ll get some rest, at last

If even for a single night
Still proud I am because
Though just the North Pole Office Elf
My Boss is Santa Claus!
