An entry in the True Story Flash contest
Chance Encounter
by Navada
I was alone at the tram stop after dark.
I saw him stop dead in his tracks when he spotted me. At first, he pretended he was going in the opposite direction, but then he sidled across the tracks to the waiting bay next to me.
He sat on the bench, slid along it until his thigh pressed hard against mine, and leered into my face.
I clutched the bunch of keys hidden in my fist. I was ready to fight when the tram arrived and we were suddenly surrounded by people.
He ran away.
Thank God creeps are cowards.
