The Thinker.

NO WHERE TO GO

NOTHING TO SAY

SITTING ON RODIN’S ROCK

DAY AFTER DAY

RASCALLY BOYS STICK GUM ON HIS BUTTOCKS

TEENAGE GIRLS SNEEK PEEKS BETWEEN HIS KNEES AND GIGGLE

CHAPERONES SMILE ONE TO THE OTHER

THEY HAVE THEIR OWN MEMORIES

WHAT IS HE THINKING?

SO COLD TO TOUCH

WHERE IS HIS HEART?

IS IT LOST?

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?

Painting By Edvard Munch - Mus'ee Rodin, Public Domain.
This is an ekphrastic freestyle story poem where rhyme and meter are incidental to the influence of the artwork to the viewer. The artwork (can be any work of art) invites introspection that will be versed.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
