Eternally ours

They share
in our existence
companions from birth,
woven tightly
into the fabric of everyday
comforting
and familiar

They live
in every moment
subtle, yet unyielding
etched in our consciousness
stars of our memories

They linger
through our journey
from childhood onward,
every twist, they take
they turn alongside us

They leave
a profound emptiness
in their departure
our fabric pulled,
altered
we begin to unravel

They shift
entire worlds
with their absence
an empty expanse
a silent melody

They transform
elemental
the sun's warmth,
their embrace
the wind,
their laugh
a familiar comfort

They stay
in our journey
They become
our destination
They are
eternally ours
